Adam from The Book Club phoned me just now. Ack. Apparently I'm a loyal and valued customer, even though I've only been with them less than a month. He's going to send me a £7.99 book for nothing, with another £7.99 book I can have "on trial", meaning I can send it back after 10 days if I don't like it.

Problems:

a) who the hell reads a book in 10 days?
b) who can be bothered to send a book back?
